Our group set off on a journey to Krupanj, Serbia, to take part in an Erasmus+ training course organized by Udruženje Svetlost. What followed was a week of creativity, teamwork, and a fair share of unexpected adventures:

Fifteen. Hours. On. A. Bus. That’s how long it took us to reach Krupanj, Serbia. Picture a seat just a bit too small, knees making questionable life choices, and necks filing official complaints. And yet, the moment we arrived, all the discomfort melted away. Surrounded by the Serbian countryside, welcomed by our fantastic hosts from Udruženje Svetlost, and joined by participants from across Europe, we knew we were in for something special.

From the very first day, we were thrown into adventure. Our opening challenge? Fighting a dragon (well… almost). It was a playful team exercise that immediately pushed us to think outside the box. And that set the tone: no boring lectures, just hands-on learning through games, creativity, and plenty of laughter.

Over the course of the week, we experienced a series of unforgettable activities Sword-and-shield debates (thankfully injury-free). A frog guiding us through a stolen muffin mystery. Big decisions made with the roll of a 20-sided dice (because why not?).

Every day brought new mechanics, new teamwork, and new lessons. Slowly, the puzzle pieces fit together: we weren’t just participants, we were game designers in the making. By the end of the week, our teams had created their own educational games on topics that matter — active citizenship, mental health, and self-expression.

Looking back, this training was more than just an Erasmus+ course. It was a celebration of creativity, a reminder that learning doesn’t have to be serious to be meaningful, and proof that shared laughter can spark real insight. The dragon battles and muffin mysteries may stay in Serbia, but the lessons and friendships are coming home with us. 🌍
